BIOGRAPHY
Farmer’s Daughter Productions is helmed by veteran film industry professional, Hollis Sherman-Pepe. Always having multiple irons on the fire, her canon of work displays a diversity of genres and personal interests.
As a writer-director-producer she loves the nuances of the creative process, the journey being just as rewarding as the final product. Particularly drawn to concepts that dance the line between realism and fantasy, Sherman-Pepe tends to more often align her screenplays in the sci-fi/fantasy and thriller world, yet even the most grounded of dramas will give a nod to the magic and mystery of the universe and intrigue of cultural folklore.
A BFA graduate from The University of The Arts, Sherman-Pepe transitioned from being a lifelong actor to a filmmaker in 2012, writing and producing her first short film, “VALEDICTION.” Since this shift, she has continued to produce and direct a catalog of award-winning films such as the futuristic sci-fi featurette “TWENTY MINUTE EXOTIC GETAWAY” and dance film/documentary “CATHARTIC ART.” Enjoying the collaborative process of filmmaking has led her to Produce and Assistant Direct for several talented directors and production companies as well.
